Piccolo Spoleto Festival
In this, the festival’s 30th year, Spoleto Festival USA is as exciting as ever. Headlined by operas, ballets and theatrical productions, visitors flock to Charleston for this celebration of the arts. Piccolo Spoleto is primarily for local performers to exhibit their talents. Annual participants in Piccolo Spoleto include but are not limited to the regionally acclaimed Taylor Festival Choir, the nationally renowned College of Charleston Concert Choir and Madrigal Singers, the Celtic fiddling ensemble Na Fidleiri, CSO Orchestra and Chorus and the famous Westminster Choir. The Piccolo Spoleto Festival is funded in part by grants from the City of Charleston; Charleston County; South Carolina Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency; and the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism.

Boone Hall Plantation
As one of the oldest living, working plantations in America, Boone Hall Plantation has been producing crops for over 320 years. Traditionally cotton and pecans have been the two primary crops but today, Boone Hall Plantation offers visitors a variety of fruits and vegetables including peaches, strawberries, tomatoes, pumpkins and so many more. The most recognizable feature of Boone Hall is the Avenue of Oaks, comprised of 90 Live Oak trees, leading three-quarter of a mile from the entrance to the historic plantation mansion.

Charleston City Marina
The Charleston City Marina features the longest free standing floating fuel dock n the Southeast, 19,000 feet of dock space and covers forty acres of water. Amenities of the City Marina include but are not limited to Downtown Charleston shuttle services, floating bathhouse, cable television, free wireless internet access, convenience store and volume fuel discounts.

Charleston Harbor Marina
Charleston Harbor Marina is the largest marina in South Carolina. Gorgeous views of the Charleston skyline and Fort Sumter highlight the views from the marina. The amenities at Charleston Harbor include a pool, jacuzzi, Mini Mariners Children’s Program, and fitness facilities. Charleston Maritime Festival
Formerly Charleston Maritime Festival, the Charleston Harbor Fest celebrates the fun and excitement of boating and extreme water sports. In 2008, the Charleston Harbor Fest expanded to both sides of Charleston Harbor and featured the Water Action Village Expo (WAVE) introducing all attendees to extreme water sports, modern boating, marine sports equipment, water sports, boating, kayaking, kite boarding, and surfing vendors.

Charleston RiverDogs
The Charleston Riverdogs are the Single-A Minor League affiliate of the New York Yankees. Locals enjoy a fun-filled evening of baseball action and the beautiful, riverside Joseph P. Cypress Gardens
Cypress Gardens offers visitors a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the city where they can experience the natural beauty of South Carolina. Explore the swamps on a flat bottom boat or hike one of many nature trails. Cypress Gardens attractions include, but are not limited to the Butterfly House, Aquarium, Reptile Center, Crocodile Isle & Aviary.

Drayton Hall
Drayton Hall, a National Historic Trust Site, has been preserved in its near-original condition by the Historic Trust since the Drayton family turned the plantation over to them in 1974. Drayton Hall has survived the American Revolution, the American Civil War, the earthquake of 1886 and hurricanes such as Hurricane Hugo. Tours of the plantation occur daily and it is a must see to all history enthusiasts.

Isle of Palms Marina
The Isle of Palms (IOP) Marina is the perfect place to “tie up and wind down.” It’s convenient location provides travelers access to beautiful beaches, luxury oceanfront accommodations, Wild Dunes Golf Course, and shopping at the Mt. Pleasant Towne Centre. Marina amenities include cable television, complimentary wireless internet, and private showers & sauna.

Middleton Place Plantation
The Middleton Place Plantation is a carefully preserved National Historic Landmark and offers visitors daily tours of the Gardens, the House Museum, and the Plantation Stable Yards. Middleton place offers luxurious accommodations as well as The Middleton Place Restaurant, open to hotel guests and daily visitors.

Magnolia Plantation & Gardens
Magnolia Gardens, established in 1676, opened its doors to the public in 1872 and is the oldest public tourist site in the Lowcountry and the oldest public gardens in America. Spend the day touring hundreds of acres of beautiful gardens and swaps. Magnolia Gardens offers a tram ride through the old rice fields, now swamps, home to hundreds of alligators, birds and other fauna and flora.

MOJA Festival
MOJA Festival 2008 kicks off September 25 and runs through October 5. The MOJA Arts Festival is a celebration of the African-American and Caribbean arts and the contributions they’ve made to western culture. Most MOJA events are free of charge including the Reggae concert at the Customs House in Historic Downtown Charleston. Enjoy visual arts, classical music, dance, gospel, jazz, poetry, R&B music, storytelling, theatre, children’s activities, traditional crafts, ethnic food, and much, much more at the 2008 MOJA Arts Festival!

National Park Service - Charles Pinckney
Snee Farm, Charles Pinckney’s coastal plantation is a National Historic Landmark. This plantation offers insight into one of America’s signers of the Constitution.

South Carolina Aquarium
Aquarium Wharf is home to the South Carolina Aquarium as well as Fort Sumter Tours. Spend the day at the aquarium checking out local exhibits like Camp Carolina. View the daily feedings in the largest saltwater tank in South Carolina. The kids will enjoy the hands-on displays in the main hall.
